We drove to Amelia Island, Florida on the north east side of Florida along the Atlantic Ocean. It was a 15 hour drive but we did most of it through the night. It was not as bad as we thought it was going to be. Libby did actually pretty good. We rented a house on the beach and it was just lovely. We spent our days outside playing in the water, flying our kite, collecting sea shells, and making sand castles. Libby loved frolicking in the water. She really did love the beach. We went out for some meals and ordered some in. We took walks and strolls on the beach. We read books, watched movies, played games, and ate lots of good food. It was a wonderful time. Probably the most relaxing vacation I can remember going on.

Amelia Island- Family Vacation 2010
Enjoying our days
Summer seems to be flying by but we are enjoying our days. We seem to be keeping busy between swimming at the subdivision pool, at Mi Mi's pool, and the rec center pools. We definitely get our swim time in. When we are not swimming we have been known to go to Bounce U, Open Gym time at Barron's Gymnastics, and also Rainbow Recreation Center to play on their indoor playground. We also take regular trips to the Humane Society and the pet stores. Like I said, keeping busy but enjoying every minute of it.

Summer Photo Shoot
A summer photo shoot with one of my friends just getting into photography. She asked if she could photograph Libby. We had so much fun playing around at the park. Isn't she just beautiful?

Libby just loves her Dora umbrella and could not bare to go to the shoot without it. She is not so much a fan of the pigtails but I love them so. I will always remember this look on her. She is just adorable.

Libby also loves showing off her pout face. I just love this shot that captured it. She has a very fun side to her too. She loves to be tickled.

Summer Is Here

Summer is here. The subdivision pool isn't open yet so we bought Libby her very own pool for the front yard. Yes, I said the front yard. She enjoys it so that 's what counts. We took Libby to ride the train. It already is getting so hot in St. Louis. A few visits to the park and now Ice cream is becoming the norm. Oh well it is summer. We are enjoying it so far.
The End Of CDO
CDO (Childrens Day Out at Abiding Savior) has come to an end and Libby's friend Maddie had a tea party for the whole class. Yep boys included. The girls dressed up in their dresses and the boys wore shirts and ties. Fun was had by all. The girls played some games, designed their very own purses, and held a fashion show that was completely amusing. Libby decided she did not want to participate but it was fun none the less. They all poured their very own tea when it was time to eat. They had such a ball.

Look at all the divas and the boys loved it too.

First we prayed.
They loved that they were doing it all by themselves.
Libby made some great friends this year. We hope to be able to keep in contact with some of them as they move on to preschool and Libby stays back in CDO again next year. Her birthday is on the cut off day so she will be attending CDO 2 days a week next year. She will be the oldest in her class and her teacher already assures me that she is a great leader.

Is Summer Here Already?

Is Summer here already? It sure feels like it. Enjoying the warm weather and of course the ice cream. Libby has really started enjoying playing with her friends. She is interacting with kids more than she used to. It is really very sweet. Her cousins came in town this past weekend and oh how she is in love with each of them. I want so badly for her to have a sibling to play with. I hope that we get there. But, in the meantime, we will appreciate the little things....warm days with ice cream.

Enjoying Ourselves
We love being outside with the warm weather but when we can't be outside.......we are inside having tea parties with "our friends." Libby is enjoying serving her bears, bunny, and Mommy tea and also poses in her window. She can be such the ham these days.
We recently got Libby a new tricycle. She is enjoying it because she can do it on her own. That doesn't stop her from wanting to still ride her old toys too.

Love the warm weather and the sunshine!
Everything is better when sunshine comes our way. It has been so nice having such beautiful warm weather lately. Libby and I have been able to get out of the house to enjoy it. We have visited many of our local parks, Suson animal park, Purina Farms Easter Village and dog show, and also went out and bought a new tricycle that we have been experimenting with out on the driveway. Life is good these days.

These pics were more of my attempt to experiment with my camera and editing skills. I am really enjoying getting into photography. It helps that Libby is so darn cute too. She is however very difficult to photograph. This is her favorite "boy friend" Alex with her up above. He loves acting like her big brother and showing her the ropes.

Spring Is Coming!

Spring is coming and we are loving it. We finally got to get outside and play at the park for the first time in a long time. Libby was a happy camper. She is becoming such a big girl. Some of the same parks we visited last year have become so much more fun for her this year. She can do many more of the things and is more adventurous. We have been lucky with weather so far this week. We hit 3 parks on 3 different days. Yeah!! Libby continues to be animated with her facial expressions. It is so fun watching her grow. She is talking so much and sounds like she is getting her "big kid" voice. She continues to make Tim and I laugh often. Looking forward to warmer weather and making memories this Spring and Summer.
Trip to Chicago
We went to Chicago this past weekend and had fun visiting the family. Libby had so much fun playing with her cousins. She really needs a sibling. We're working on that.
We Have Been Keeping Busy!

Hello Snow!!!!!

Hello Snow! This is the first time that we ventured out in the snow. The last few times that we had accumulation I would ask her if she wanted to go out and play and she would tell me "no momma it's really really cold outside." She refused to even go out in it. But today, she was feeling adventurous. So, we went for it. It was short lived but we had some fun and made our mark.

Simply having fun
We had a fun filled weekend. Libby and I went to the Magic House on Friday. She had so much fun playing with the water, sand, climbing through tunnels, sliding down slides, playing the piano, playing in the grocery store, and seeing Clifford The Big Red Dog. Although she didnt want her picture taken with him, she wanted to stare at him afterward and say "hi" Clifford and "bye bye" Clifford. Clifford was all she talked about the rest of the weekend. She told Tim all about it. You would never guess it by the picture would you?
We came home to make nachos for dinner and sugar cookies with sprinkles. Eating them together was the best part about it. What would be a more family fun evening?
Today is Valentines Day and it has been very family friendly. We all ate lunch together and we all took a nap too. Tonight Tim is making a steak dinner for us. Yum! Looking forward to it. Love, Love, Love these two people in my life especially today. Other things that I love today: movie-This is It with my hubby tonight, beautiful sentiments in a card from Tim, lazy day spent together and fresh falling snow. What a great day!

Thursday Nights
Thursday Nights are beginning to be a fun part of our week. Libby started Kickaroos (soccer for two year olds) last week. Although they don't really know what they are doing or what they are supposed to be doing, they seem to have fun. Running, kicking, falling, stacking cones, and more running. It surely is amusing to watch. She loves doing all of this with her daddy. He is so great with her out there. The parachute is one of her favorite parts. Its funny how we want so much for our kids to be involved in all of the things that we think they "need" for socialization etc. and the things that make them the happiest are just being with us. Isn't is a great thing?
